Awakening the World: A Global Dimension to Spiritual Practice
with Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS)

What is the relationship between our individual spiritual practice and global transformation? How can we use our spiritual awareness to help the world to evolve?

Open to seekers of any tradition, this workshop will address these vital questions, taking the participant into a global dimension of spirituality. We will explore the spiritual practices and attitudes we need to cultivate, opening us to the real purpose of spiritual transformation at this time of crisis and transition. As we step into a global era, do we need to realign our spiritual understanding, or is this dimension already present within most traditions? What are the dangers and difficulties as well as spiritual potential of this present time? What does it mean to participate fully in both individual and global spiritual life?

From 1:00pm - 5:00pm, $65. Advance registration requested. This event will take place at the Unitarian Church on Geary, San Francisco, California (Map via Yahoo Maps). For further information or to purchase tickets, please contact CIIS Public Programs: website: CIIS Public Programs, tel: 415.575.6175, email: publicprograms@ciis.edu. It is possible to register online.

• Mysticism and Global Transformation

Event with Adyashanti and Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee

Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20, 2005
Marin Jewish Community Center, San Rafael, California

"Within the heart is the spark of oneness, our deep connection to the divine and to all of life. How can we awaken this connection that belongs to our soul and the soul of the world? How can our primal knowing of oneness come alive within ourself and within the world? Mysticism awakens us to our real power and potential, so that we can contribute fully at this time of global transition. It connects us with what is real: the oneness of life." -- Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee

"The revelation of Oneness brings a great peace and rest at the center of our being. But it also opens up an opportunity and an impulse to live and express that revelation in the world of duality. To transcend the world of time and space is not the end of spirituality but rather the beginning. To express the timeless within the world of time is to fulfill our true potential." -- Adyashanti

ONLINE VIDEO: An online video of this event is available for free at our video page: Online Video.
A dvd recording will be available for purchase in Summer, 2006, and an audio cd, "Working with Light" is available for purchase: Order CDS .
